The consortium of
Italian Computer Science PhD granting
institutions under the auspices of GRIN and in cooperation with
GII, organizes an annual school
offering four graduate-level courses aimed at
first-year PhD students in Computer Science and
Engineering. In addition to introducing students to
timely research topics, the school is meant to promote
acquaintance and collaboration among young European
researchers. The 2009 edition of the School is the
15th in the series and is supported by a generous
contribution from BiCi (Bertinoro international Center
for informatics).
The school will offer 4 courses each consisting of 15 hours of lectures:
- Distributed Algorithms, Prof. Roberto De Prisco, University of Salerno (Italy)
- Data Mining, Prof. Dino Pedreschi, University of Pisa (Italy)
- Modern Cryptography, Prof. Stefan Dziembowski, Sapienza University of Rome (Italy)
- Structural Methods in Database Theory, Prof. Francesco Scarcello, University of Calabria (Italy)
